Bob began drawing the human figure as a shy art student at the Art Institute of Buffalo, a WPA project in the 1930's.  Urged by an early teacher to get out behind his easle and actually look at the nude model, Bob soon learned the structure of the human form, and has evolved his interpretation over the many years since.

Bob paints family, friends, strangers, and the occasional commissioned portrait.  Below are a few of his favorites.
