Robert J. Witzel

Doing art has been a lifetime actiivty for Bob.  He was formally trained in drawing, painting, and design at the Pratt Institute Art School in Brooklyn and has had a long career as a professional artist.

Bob has done paintings and drawings in many areas of the United States and across the world.  During World War II he served as an artist in the South Pacific recording many images througout the region.  His professional career as an artist includes work performed for Fisher Price, National Gypsum, Southwestern Publishing, and IBM.

He has filled his retirement years with adventures in watercolor, tackling images from golf swings, to jumping tarpon, to jamming jazz musicians.  He has shared these images in several one-man shows and numreous special exhibits.  He has received positive reviews and awards and is in many private collections throughout the world.

In addition to being a superb artist, Bob is a golfer, a fisherman, a husband of 60+ years to a talented quilter, a father of two strong-willed daughters, a grandfather to four good looking grandchildren, and a great grandfather of two talented great-grand daughters.

Bob lives with his lovely bride, Marie, in Stuart, Florida during the winter months and Ithaca, New York when the tempatures rise above freezing long enough to let the streams flow and golf courses open.
